“This project involved reinforcing most of the building’s modules, which required excavation and the construction of new foundations, walls, and partitions. The roof structures were also strengthened, new subfloors were installed, and all finishes were completely replaced, along with a full overhaul of the electromechanical and air conditioning systems.

A six-level Hospitalization Tower was constructed, covering a larger footprint than the rest of the hospital and fully equipped with medical facilities. It was highly rewarding for the entire team to witness the transformation of the hospital from its initial deteriorated state to its final, revitalized condition.

It is noteworthy that the project was initially designed to reinforce and upgrade the hospital in preparation for the anticipated Nicoya earthquake, but the work was completed after the earthquake had already occurred.”
